Vancouver Python Workshop this August

June 29, 2006

The Vancouver Python Workshop is on in Vancouver again this August. I went in 2004 and had a great time. It was cool to meed Guido van Rossum, Bram Cohen, Jon Udell and other nice people in person. (Guido will attend again this year)

I actually did a beginner Python session last time. I remember getting stuck in a hot elevator with a dozen people on the way up to the room I was to speak in, and coming out all sweaty, late for the session. Joy. Of course, going to a nice Vancouver beach for a BBQ with most of the attendees, and the great sushi downtown, more than made up for that inconvenience. :-)

Hopefully I can go this year, but I think it'll be a last minute decision based on what's going on at the time. :-(
