Looking technology in the eye
February 5, 2004
Three stories on the Christian Science Monitor about ethics and morals in the face of increasingly emotive robots:
csmonitor.com: Robots get friendly -- "Robots are being programmed and designed to act more human."
csmonitor.com: Looking technology in the eye -- "The new breed of robots may have artificial skin, muscles, eyes, and facial expressions."
csmonitor.com: If you kick a robotic dog, is it wrong? -- "There are potential hazards in regarding mechanical pets too highly."
I read through about half of the first one. Hopefully I'll find the time to read through all three.
