Sunday is the best day of the week

Two weeks ago on Sunday I did nothing. I just sat in my room, surfed in my pyjamas, ate, and went to bed.

Last week Sunday was a real treat! Donald W. Larson, who I worked with at Macrobyte (a fully distributed company) drove up to Irvine from San Diego and we spent the day together. I showed him WebObjects, we created an application with it, went out for lunch, BS'd, etc. It was a great day.

Today I went to a computer show/fair in Pomona (I hope I'm spelling that right). It was huge. I was good, I didn't buy anything, but there were a couple things there I was really eyeballing, like a 48GB laptop hard drive for about $150. After that we went to Baker's Square for a late lunch (mmm, Cinnamon Roll French Toast).

I've been working 6 days a week since I got here, so Sunday's the only day I've had to relax and do my own thing. It hasn't been too bad. Certainly less sucky than when I was in San Francisco by myself... but maybe that's because I only have one day off instead of two. Weekends were really lonely, depressing times for me. I hated Friday in San Francisco because it meant I had to spend the next two days alone rather than with people (at work).

I can't wait to get back to Canada so I can spend quality time with people every day.
