And I thought Dubya was slow...

CNN.com: First lady blasts Taliban treatment of women

How embarassing. Mrs. Dubya is attacking the Taliban's treatment of women and children. But, isn't it a bit late for that? I mean, she waits until over two months after the terrorist attacks, and much much longer after the mistreatment of women and children in Afghanistan began.

The Taliban don't even control the country anymore! What is she hoping to accomplish? The baton of oppression has already fallen into the hands of the Northern Alliance. It's not like this pathetic display of compassion is going to help the coalition win Kandahar, much less change the past, because frankly that's what we're talking about here.

Where was Peggy and her outrage before September 11th, before America found out where Afghanistan was?

The funny thing is, when I read "First Lady", Hilary Clinton came to mind, not Laura Bush. I think Mrs. Bush is starting to realize that following in Hilary Clinton's active footsteps is a hard act to follow. It's just too bad she isn't kept informed of current events.
