We went to the SF Zoo again today. We were eating lunch at the Playfield Cafe when we heard this scream, "Nooooooooooo!"

We turned our heads and saw a boy, maybe 10 years old, running after some sea gulls.

"That bird stole my hot dog!"

He got a new one, but for the rest of the meal he was watching those birds so closely, and charging after them if they came anywhere near them.

"I hate birds!!!"

"Birds are my enemy!!"

I guess you had to be there, but just the way he said it was hilarious. He came over to our table to tell us what happened, I think he was suggesting we keep an eye on our own meals.

I looked at his dad and said, "So much for the conservation theme!" :-) He laughed and nodded.
