If you have experience using IRC in an internal software development team environment, I'd really love to hear your opinions about the good and the bad, what to do and what to not do. Please reply to this entry on the dicussion group.

I'm also interested in hearing about what IRC servers are good for this use and why.

Please keep in mind that I'm an IRC newbie. I've used IRC for probably less than 3 hours in my entire life.
