The survivors of the dot-com downturn

I remember when I left school to join the tech industry early, while the getting was good. I thought it was unfortunate for me that the good-years were just a few years too early for me to finish school and still get in early enough.

Imagine how the people feel that have either stuck it out in college/university, graduating this year, or just graduating from high-school this summer. The good years past them by and they didn't even get a chance. What a bummer. At least I got to ride the wave...
