Canada 'miracle' baby survives subzero night outside

CNN: Canada 'miracle' baby survives subzero night outside (this happened in Edmonton, my birthplace)
"The child's toes were frozen together and paramedics who responded to her mother's frantic call had trouble getting a breathing tube into the child's throat because her mouth was frozen shut.
Buick said the girl's heart could have been stopped for as long as two hours -- "And when it did start, it started on its own," he said."
I got word of this story on the local Edmonton news (I get the Edmonton TV channels on Satellite) during the Edmonton/Calgary game on Saturday night.
If you don't have kids, you might be thinking "what a neglectful mother, how could she let that happen?"
If you have kids, you're probably thinking "I'm lucky something like that hasn't happened to my kids because I've accidentally forgotten to lock the door once or twice myself".
I have a daughter. I'm lucky something like that hasn't happened to her.
I hope this little girl will be alright.
