How links work in Radio UserLand

August 14, 2000

Now the WorldWideOutline(r) has hyperlinks. I'm going to play with this some, see what I can do with it.

The only thing I'm apprehensive about is the fact that the .xml file extension is being assumed to be an "outlineDocument" XML file in every case. Everything else is sent to the browser. There are news sites out there that use .xml as the file extension of their pages, even though they aren't XML files. Even if they were, they aren't outlineDocuments. Perhaps a new file extension, such as .xop, is in order?
