Lynnwood, WA -- home tomorrow

We made it all the way to Lynnwood tonight. That's something like 90 miles from the Canada-US border.

I hate going through Grants Pass (aka Swaine's World). Every time I go through there the weather and road conditions are terrifying. Today was the best conditions I've seen through there but they were still the worst of the trip by far and quite nerve-wracking. No offense, but I don't see the point of having the I-5 go through there. If I had the choice I'd tunnel under it and come out past the snow zone. It must have some industrial or tourism significance to have the highway go through there. What a nightmare.

I'm so sick of eating fast-food.

Seattle looks nice at night. I'm glad we got past it though, so we won't have to deal with all its traffic tomorrow morning.

I hope the border-guards are nice to us tomorrow!

Medford, OR

Dad, my friend John, and I are in Medford, Oregon. All of my family's belongings are in a moving truck.

We packed the truck on Saturday and Sunday, and got as far as Vacaville last night (we had expected to leave some time this morning, so we're way ahead of schedule). Luckily the weather was great today, and that makes things so much easier.

Hopefully we can get as far as Seattle tomorrow, and home on Wednesday.

Apple sued over G3 support in OS X

MacCentral: Apple sued over G3 support in OS X

A lawyer has filed a class-action for promising to support G3s and then not delivering. I have one of the affected machines, but I don't think I'd be able to join the suit since I'm Canadian. I could be wrong.

Everyone knows I love Apple, but, they've really screwed over the people who own the early G3 Macs, and I'd love to see Apple settle this by delivering on their promises. (DVD, IRDA and accelerated OpenGL, ATI and QT drivers)
