DVD is really pissing me off now. Update: Borders mean nothing, this doesn't just affect people in the USA! Even the Norwegian teenager who reversed engineered the CSS key has been arrested...
I only own one DVD. (At least I thought I owned it, I really only own the case it came in) I won't buy any more DVDs unless this is resolved favourably for the people, and I recommend you do the same thing.

I've decided to extend the reach of yesterday's rant to those who speak Pikachize. Here it is. Why did I do this? I just don't want those little Pikachus to fall into the same trap. ![]()

Today's album is american standard by Seven Mary Three.
Listening to that album invokes memories of a good time in my past - driving home from work on highway 21 (Alberta) in my old white 1996 Saturn SL1
, at about 140km/h, with 100.3 The Bear whaling away, my head banging up and down listening to Cumbersome.
Driving too fast, by myself, with music blaring is proof I'm a Basset Hound.

How did I miss carpediem.EditThisPage.Com? David's playing tennis again too. He has this brilliant insight into the game:
One of the neat things about tennis and baseball is that they don't use a clock. In order to win a match or a game you have to accomplish a specified goal. In baseball you need to get 27 outs and score more runs than the other team. The clock never runs out on a thrilling comeback. It ain't over 'til it's over.
He is SO right! That explains why I've always loved the brand of road-hockey where you play "first to 10 goals wins"! That's so much cooler than "we'll play til we have to go back to school". ![]()

Back when Brent found out he was a German Shephard, I too took the Dog Test, but forgot to post the results. Here they are: (they are most acccurate!)
You are most like a BASSET HOUND. You are one laid-back individual! You cherish your "down time" and treasure the moments that you have no responsibility to anyone but your couch and TV set. You are easy to get along with and are extremely low maintenance. You probably love to hang out with your friends, as long as it is in a low-key environment. Although some might consider you lazy, you prefer to think of yourself as "relaxed." Your no-frills approach to life makes you a refreshing friend to all.
My wife agrees with that, especially the 3rd sentence, apparently! LOL! I wish Cheryl had a weblog too...

Today's update comes from Netscape Navigator for Linux running under Mandrake Linux. This isn't your granddaddy's Linux installation... it's running inside VMWare 1.0.1 for Windows NT. Yep, Linux on top of NT. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying VMWare once my 30 day eval runs out
VMWare keeps warning me that performance will be unacceptable because I don't have a PII, and because my processor isn't at least 266MHz. Well... In full-screen mode, this setup is completely usable. Now if Brent could show me how to get Frontier running in Linux, I could flip over for good!
Update: I don't know if Brent heard me or what, but his weblog now says "The next story I plan to write is about getting Frontier set up on WINE, so you can duplicate my set-up." Yay!
