My first Teaching Assistant classes
I'm the "TA" (teaching assistant) for CSC 435 (Compiler Construction) this term.
I didn't know if I would be TA'ing or not when the term started, but they couldn't find anyone for this course so I volunteered. It suits me fine because it was one of my favourite courses, and seeing as my supervisor's research is about compilers, it makes sense. :-)
Today I had my first lab... there are two sections, back to back in the same room, so I get to repeat myself. I think it went pretty well, and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully the students got some useful information from me and I'll be able to help them this term.
Now that my supervisor is back from Europe I'm looking forward to getting going with research, not just my class work and TA work.
