Waiting to register for September classes

I was wondering why I hadn't received notification of my registration date for September classes, so I checked the UVic web site and found out I still hadn't been admitted into the graduate program!

I called UVic and they said they were still waiting for an assessment report document from a professor, but I was sure he had sent that in April. I called him and he said confirmed as much. He said he would hand deliver a new copy to the Graduate Admissions and Records office right away. I've since confirmed that happened and I'm told I should be able to register tomorrow.

It turns out registration actually began today, so it's rather stressful because I don't want to miss out on any classes (because they get full) because of this administrative issue. Ugh.

Ode to Dad, the Lost Verse

I was tidying up this afternoon when I saw a scrap piece of paper on the table... some of Cyan's rough notes / brainstorming for her Ode to Dad poem. Here's a verse that didn't make it into the final copy...

Tall about six feet,

Loves to eat,

What an awesome Dad!

She's just full of compliments! ;-)
