AppleMaster Gregory Hines passes away

CNN: Actor-dancer Gregory Hines dead at 57

Another cancer victim. :-( I had the pleasure of watching Gregory Hines perform on stage with Herbie Hancock at the AppleMasters event at WWDC in 1999. A night I'll never forget.

RIP Gregory.

More Ploneification

I've made more progress in adapting the Plone skin to my site. I've redesigned the following pages:

There is still a little more to be done, such as my blogroll slot, but it's pretty close to being fully redesigned now.

What has impressed me the most during this redesign process has been:

  • All the templates have less HTML than before, because of CSS.
  • I was able to do all of this without any programming (aside from conditional macros, which could only barely count as such).
  • It didn't really take me very long to do... around 15 hours or so.
  • How damn nice this site looks. It's the nicest looking Conversant site anywhere now, IMHO. ;-)
