Reality Check on iTunes 4 streaming
Eric Tilton says that since that iTunes Music Store music is DRM protected, it can't be copied (via iTunes streaming) from one computer to another and then played back. Has he tested that assumption? If the computer is able to play it back during normal iTunes sharing/streaming, is it really DRM'd in that form? Of course if the actual AAC file was copied to the other computer it would have to be authorized first, but perhaps the streamed version isn't the same as the actual file.
Has anyone tried this? Is Eric correct or not?
Time to Reload
It looks like the Tyrell crew is all out watching The Matrix Reloaded this morning. I'm going to see it this afternoon. Last night I used price protection to get a bunch of money back on a recent purchase, and I used some of that money to buy the game "Enter the Matrix". I didn't open it, because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a prequel or sequel to the movie, and I have been trying very hard not to spoil anything about this movie.
I guess I'll try it out this weekend.
Migrating OSX to new drive
I bought a bigger hard drive for my PowerBook G3. I'm wondering what the best method is for migrating my old hard drive to the new one.
Should I try to migrate the OS, or just install from scratch on the new drive?
If a new install, should I try to migrate my home folder, or just move important documents from the old hard drive to the new one?
Are there particular tools that make this task easier? I've ruled out Carbon Copy Cloner because there are too many reports in the forums about people having problems... aliases still pointing back to the source drive (ie: backup, not clone), and possibly problems with 10.2.6.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
