RE: RSS-enabling mailing lists
Seth just demoed the upcoming weblog/rss features I mentioned earlier today. Killer stuff. It's going to enable a whole new way to work with weblogs.
Conversant is a groupware system, not a weblogging system... way back when weblogs were added to Conversant, the value wasn't as apparent, but there's so much critical mass with weblogs and RSS and so much thinking about the applications of those technologies in many different scenarios, it's becoming much more obvious how these things are a strategic part of group communication.
McDonalds is shrinking along with their food

It looks like my 10.5 year boycott of McDonalds sandwiches and lifetime boycott of Walmart is starting to have the desired effect.
RE: RSS-enabling mailing lists
A couple days ago I suggested that Conversant might be the only system that can generate RSS from mailing lists.
I forgot about Yahoo! Groups... it's possible to make an RSS feed from a list there. Like this one for the NNW list.
Unfortunately, it sucks, the item titles are the name of the poster rather than the subject line. (I was going to mention how it also sucked the body of the message wasn't in the description of the items, but then someone threw an egg at my face
)
I still think Conversant has the most customizable RSS feeds whose content originates from a mailing list.
And soon (RSN) it'll have the most customizable feeds from weblogs too.
