Don’t Rush Me, I’ve got 95% to go

Rush Limaugh: APPLE STUPIDITY

I think what Rush is trying to say is, "I ooze money, and Steve Jobs should be sucking it off me like a five-dollar whore".

But I could be wrong. Maybe Rush is jealous Steve gets to wear casual clothes at work and he has to wear a suit and oxygen-deprevation device around his neck to pony to his crowd.

I'd love to see a Rush Limbaugh switcher ad. Problem is, he isn't a switcher... he's been a Mac user for quite a while.

Ellen Grass… er, Feiss

Poor Ellen Feiss. Check out all the talk about her via DayPop.

ellen is getting a mac

Weeeeeeeeee!

After watching that ad yesterday, I sent Apple a comment on their feedback form:

"A computer so simple even a half-baked teenager can use it!"

UK nurses leave for the US too

BBC News: Why I quit NHS for the US'

The situation is very similar in Canada. I just wonder, is the US Health industry the next Enron or WorldCom? I have no evidence to suggest it is, I guess it just shows my level of confidence in business right now. What I do know is service there were drastically overpriced. Cheryl paid something like $700 for an emergency blood test last year (bleeding while pregnant), and nearly $400 for a scheduled ultrasound... both services that would cost a tiny fraction of that in Canada.

Put weblogs to work

Poynter.org: The ABCs and XYZs of Weblogs

A very good essay. I'd like my employer to read this.

SharedOutline Beta questions

Paolo Valdemarin Weblog: SharedOutline Beta

This looks like a very useful tool. My question is, however, how much will it cost? I don't like the tradition in the Frontier world of announcing pricing after getting everyone to test the beta. And, does it work with a 3rd party Radio Community Server, like PyCS?

Switcher parody ad

Fuck your Macintosh Lifestyle

Wicked. :) I still think Apple should buy the macboy Switch ads and televise them. :-)

NYPD do not belong in Canada

National Post: NYPD moves to post detectives in Toronto

Geez, who do these people think they are? This kind of stuff makes me very angry. As if Canada's sovereignty wasn't thin enough.

RCMP posers

RCMP in Burnaby (Vancouver suburb) are posing as squeegee kids to check seat belts...

Reuters: Fake Squeegee Kids Nab Traffic Scofflaws

"The undercover officer washing the window looks inside the car to see if the seat belts are properly attached. If not, they give a quiet signal, and the car is stopped again by a uniformed officer a short distance down the road."

Sneaky! RCMP mention they're learning how hard it is to be a squeegee kid, getting treated badly and ripped off. I wonder if they considered how it is going to be for them now that people might suspect they are cops. Either motorists will put on their seat belts as the squeegee kid approaches, and actually pays after their windows are washed, or they'll completely ignore and avoid them.
