RE: Finally, brain surgery!

Good news about my dad. We saw the neurosurgeon this evening, he's going to do a radio-frequency rhizotomy, which is basically frying the trigeminal nerve with a radiation beam to kill the pain. He'll be a bit numb on one side of his face, but no more pain.

It's a 90 minute non-invasive procedure, and he can leave the day after. Very good news. The neurologist Dad and I saw on May 31st had said rhizotomy wasn't available here, so we figured they'd have to do dangerous invasive surgery again...

The whole family is relieved, it takes a big weight off.

CNET: Apple to expand iMac LCD display

So... does Apple tell IDG to revoke CNET's press pass because they're a rumours and speculation site?

RE: Finally, brain surgery!

I just got word from my Mom that Dad is to be admitted to the Victoria General Hospital at 1 PM.

Update, 12:20 PM: They're on their way there now.
