Xbox co-creator reveals new venture

CNET: Xbox co-creator reveals new venture

RE: Canada set to reject Kyoto protocol

Bill Kearney reports that Canada is considering pulling out of the Kyoto Protocol if they aren't granted the credits they want for exporting clean(er) energy to the USA.

Brian Carnell (who disagrees with nearly everything I have to say) thinks this is excellent, but I don't. I think it's fucking pathetic. If the Kyoto Protocol dies, it'll be another 10-20 years before we have a hope of getting the increasingly corrupt G-8 governments (nevermind the rest of the world) to get this serious about emissions. Our climate is changing rapidly, and things are getting worse, much worse, not better.

I hope that the EU accepts Canada's proposal, or Canada ratifies Kyoto without the credits they want. Our children deserve a cleaner environment than what we're currently offering them.

Here's The Government of Canada's page about Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol.
