Bustani lynched

Jose Bustani was the Director General of the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons, until last weekend, when he was ousted by a wide margin in an illegal vote called for by the United States. You see, the USA didn't want Bustani to succeed in getting Iraq to join the organization, because that would make it harder for Bush to get a strong mandate to attack them. Not surprisingly, this story has received little, misleading, or no attention frolm the American media.

Kuro5hin has good coverage, and there's a story in the Moscow Times (below).

Moscow Times: Global Eye -- Pack Men

It's amusing how the NYTimes covered the story, not mentioning Iraq whatsoever.

It would help if the weblogging community would link to these stories widely to help uncover this situation.

Lambda on MultiJava

Lambda the Ultimate covered The MultiJava Project yesterday. Sounds cool. I'm glad people aren't willing to accept Java's limitations.

RE: Wendy to sing at funeral

I did a Google search for my cousin Wendy Gronnestad, here's an interesting page I found:

Wendy's in a "Medieval Chick Band" called Trobairitz.

The only page I found about Gary is the page for the RCMP Pipes and Drums of Sherwood Park.

Very cool, I didn't know the voice actors for Marvel's classic animated shows were from Canada. :-)

Forsberg late scratch for Game 6

CNN/SI: Avs' Forsberg late scratch for Game 6

If I was Peter, I would take his money and run back to Sweden for good. Seriously... that guy gets absolutely punished every game. No-one needs that kind of abuse. He's got enough money to live comfortably for a long long time, so why waste his health?
