Wendy to sing at funeral

My mom just emailed me to tell me that my cousin Wendy called today to let her know she will be singing (a solo) at the nationally televised funeral for the fallen Canadian soldiers in Edmonton.

My cousin is an amazing singer (massive understatement), highly regarded in Canada. I wish I knew more about her singing background to share it with you here. I'm very proud of her, and her brother who is also a highly gifted musician. Unfortunately, the only time I've heard her sing was at my grandfather's funeral.... it was unbelievable.

Hopefully CBC will air Wendy's contribution to the funeral, but either way I'm sure there won't be a dry eye in the place by the time she's finished.

RIP fallen members of the PPCLI.
