Brian Carnell reports that a 13 year old girl died Monday night as a result of getting hit in the head by a puck at an NHL hockey game (the first time this has happened in the NHL).

An unbelieveablely devastating situation. My heart goes out to the family of the victim.

It's rare someone gets hurt watching a hockey game, thankfully. But folks... seriously, if you go to a hockey game... NHL, minor leagues or otherwise, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PUCK AT ALL TIMES. Maybe she did and was unlucky, but regardless ... do not daydream. Thank you.
