I Jim is working on a Conversant-aware upstream driver – I think this is
just his name for it since (for now at least) it is not an official
Macrobyte product…

jrConversant is the name of the table in the user.radio.drivers.upstream table. jr == Jim Roepcke.
How else did you find it interesting? I didn’t intend to make it clever, and haven’t even decided if that’ll be the real name of the driver once it’s released.

Oh, gosh, I, er, I thought it might be Conversant running on Radio or
something like that. Just a great example of how rumors get started I guess
(I’m writing to MOSR right now to get them to forget that other e-mail I
sent…)
