CSS2 design

Over the last couple of days, respected designers have been extolling the virtues of tableless HTML design. They've sold me.

I'm working on a tableless (except for the calendar) design for this site. It's fun to learn new things!

BTW, the site that proved to me it could be done, or, that I could do it is diveintomark.org. Clean HTML, CSS and JS files to learn from. What could be better? Thanks for pointing it out Steve!

And thanks to James Spahr for sharing this killer bookmark:

Update on Xavier — 3 weeks

I haven't written about Xavier since I went back to SF to pack and move back to Victoria. Everyone's been asking how he's doing, sorry for not sharing... :-)

Xavier's doing great! He's growing, eating well, sleeping lots (although more during the day than the night), and as far as we can tell he's totally healthy. He's also very strong. Newborn clothes don't fit him at all, he's wearing 3 month old stuff minimum.

It's still hard to believe all of him and that huge placenta (one of the biggest the OB GYN had ever seen) could have fit into my tiny (5'0") wife. :-)

People have also been asking for pictures. I'll endeavour to get some more online soon.

Garage Sale in SF

Jean Drolet, a former co-worker and (still) great friend of mine is having a moving sale on Feb. 23rd in San Francisco.

They have beautiful furniture. If you're in the area, take a look.
