While I'm on the topic of CDs... why are they so expensive here? I go to the big mall near here, and they're like $18 a pop! It's insane!

Is it just because real estate is so expensive here, or is it like this all over the country? In Canada, I'd never pay more than $14 for a CD, and that's in Canadian currency... which was about.... $9.25 US. And most of these CDs are American CDs... maybe they're manufactured in Canada, but that shouldn't matter, most other things cost an equivalent amount once you convert the US price to the Canadian price.

No wonder Americans were so hot on Napster. What a ripoff!
