MacNN: Reader: iPod requires bus-power to operate

Some comments below the article suggest that using a FireWire hub with powered ports (ie: requiring a power adaptor of its own) or using a "Firewire Forced Mode" by doing some weird button-incantation on the iPod can make it work.
