Courage

Around 10 o'clock last night, Nainesh (recall the discussion about hate crimes a few days ago) and his wife Sayukta stopped by our place (we live in the same apartment building). Cheryl and I were packing, because we're moving tomorrow.

He asked if we'd like to go play billiards! "Seriously?" He was serious. He was getting really bored sitting at home all the time, and there were no good movies playing, which is his usual out-of-work escape.

We all went together, the 5 of us. It was late and we really needed to be packing, but I thought... this is important, I have to do this, I have to support them. We had a great evening, the billiards hall was packed, and there were no incidents whatsoever.

It was great. An evening I will probably never forget.
