Palm reading… empty

I needed to look up a phone number after I got home from work, so I grabbed my Palm IIIc and turned it on. A big "Palm Computing" logo appeared on the screen.

Huh?

It then proceeded to take me through the initial setup, aligning the screen, etc. You guessed it, somehow the stupid thing got reset, or reset itself, and everything was gone, the slate wiped clean. :-( I was in total despair when it occured to me, hey, I have a backup! Every time I charge it I hit the HotSync button and it backs everything up!

A few minutes later it was back to normal, as if nothing had happened at all. Ahhhhh...
