Oni Central: Oni Key Configuration
Oni Central: Oni Key Configuration
I wish I had seen this a month ago. The default of having the Caps-Lock key lock Konoko into a "walking" mode (making her as agile as I would be carrying a piano on my back) drives me nuts because it's right next to the "a" key used to move Konoko left and the "q" key which draws/holsters her weapon, the "Tab" key which uses a hypospray (medicine) and "Shift" which makes her crouch!

'Primetime Glick': How Not to Interview
I haven't seen this show yet. Has anyone seen it? Is it as funny as it sounds it would be from this story?
Charting a Sustainable Course
What an exciting concept! I would love to see this happen everywhere. Cars are the stinking dinosaur of the 20th century. Leaving the airport yesterday, I remember thinking to myself, "there's no way you pry the cars away from these people". And you couldn't take my car away from me right now. Life totally sucks down here without a car.
The urbanized world will have to be redesigned to accomodate a car-free lifestyle but I think it would be more than worth it. I think it's critical for the future of our planet's environment, the environment our children and grand-children will have to breathe and play in.
Who is "viral" now?
Eric S. Raymond: Who is "viral" now?
Yes! I've been talking to people about that for a few weeks now but Eric expresses my feeling very accurately.
I got really scared about this when I read somewhere that Microsoft is going to have shared-source license agreements with UNIVERSITIES. Can you imagine, a whole generation of students being infected/affected by the Microsoft IP virus?
Furthermore, what if Microsoft just e-mailed you their source code with a shared-source license attached? They could infect people just by emailing them the virus.
The GPL is starting to look pretty fucking appealing in comparison.
I hearby publicly refuse to accept any Microsoft source code licensing agreement until further notice in the hopes this statement might be of help to me in the future should Microsoft or anyone else try to infect my brain with this virus.
Capriati reaches semis
CNNSI.com: Gutsy Capriati rallies past Serena to reach semis
I was telling Cheryl yesterday that one thing I miss about working at home is being able to watch events like Wimbledon live instead of just reading about it.
Last year I'd watch tennis in my office while I was working, or upstairs in the living room. My work schedule worked around my life, not the other way around.
Thankfully I have tomorrow off, it's a national holiday here in the USA. So I'll be able to watch a lot of good quarter-final matches tomorrow! Yay!
Mozilla 0.9.2
I just installed Mozilla 0.9.2. It feels much more solid and quick than the last version I used. I'm going to try to use Mozilla exclusively for a while.
