Whole lotta movies
There's a Blockbuster right across the street from our new apartment. We bought a DVD rental pass... 30 DVDs in 30 days for $20.
So far, here's what we've rented (don't forget we have a 3 year old daughter
):
Frequency, Kalifornia, 102 Dalmations, Lion King: Simba's Pride, October Sky, 'Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels', Mulan, Legend of Bagger Vance, Thomas Crown Affair, The Truman Show, Meet Joe Black, Twister, Shakespeare in Love, Mickey's Christmas, Raising Arizona, Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Usual Suspects, Bounce, Messenger.
Web Applications as Java Servlets
Dr. Dobb's Journal: Web Applications as Java Servlets, by Brad Cox, originator of the Objective-C language.
I want to dig into this article when I get some time.
The Enterprise Dream Team
osOpinion: Sun and Apple: The Enterprise Dream Team
IMHO, Apple's still got a way to go before being totally ready, but things are heating up. I think the author of this story didn't give the full story though, WebObjects 5 will finally give Apple a web application server on an operating system they support.
RE: OPML sucks the big one
Earlier today I ranted about a rant on today's Scripting News. Thanks to some kind people who wrote me with sage advice, I realize it's not worth my effort and energy to conern myself with that garbage, and instead I'll try very hard to focus on other things instead.
Go ahead and read the rant if you want, but I'm taking it off my home page because it's not worth the space it takes.
