This hour has 26 minutes

The bus was 26 minutes later arriving at the Colma BART station than expected (they are scheduled to come every 30 minutes)... when I got on the bus at 8:12 PM, I asked the the driver if the schedule had changed recently.

He replied, "Sorry Amigo, I'm late".

We've been waiting outside in the cold for a half-hour or more, so I didn't want to hold up the line behind me trying to get on the bus, but I wanted to say "Late? You're 4 minutes early!"

It took me nearly about 90 minutes to get home today. Quite a change from the 30 seconds it used to take me in the morning to walk up the stairs from the basement office to the living room upstairs.

Tax-reform drive building up steam

WorldNetDaily: Tax-reform drive building up steam

"As Americans' irritation with the income tax reaches a fevered pitch, a group of citizen activists work to spread "good news": There is another way for the government to collect revenue without prying into individuals' personal finances and without the filing of confusing, sometimes lengthy forms.

It's called the "Fair Tax," and its most ardent supporter is a group called Americans for Fair Taxation."

I've written about Fair Tax before. I support what they're doing.

NIBS at last

Finally oh finally I have some NIBS (my favourite candy). I haven't been able to find them ANYWHERE in the USA since I got here (not even along the I5 driving down, not just California) and it's been tough going without them. ;-)

I asked the candy shop manager on the 1st floor if he could get them and he said he would!

Here they called them Twizzlers NIBS, instead of NIBS, but they're NIBS all the same!

Naomi (found searching for NIBS twizzlers on Google) also likes NIBS, and she's from Edmonton Canada as well! Must be an Edmonton thing. ;-)
