Scottish Soccer Hooligans Weekly

This whole USA vs. China thing was so much cooler when it was the Women's World Cup of Soccer championship match. Brandi Chastain scoring the winning goal in penalty kicks, ripping off her jersey...

Oh, right, that Chinese daredevil plane. Spies.

If the roles were reversed, what would be happening? The American F-16 crashing into the Chinese Spy Plane flying off the coast of Hawaii or California or whatever. The Chinese spy plane landing making an emergency landing in SFO.

Do you think Cheney would let the 24 Chinese go back to China on the next flight out of SFO and load the plane on a big boat headed back to China lickety split?

I don't think so.

There would be mass hate towards China for the loss of the F-16 pilot. They'd hold that plane and those Chinese pilots and make the Chinese apologize every day for a month before releasing anything and anyone.

The Americans are playing the poor victims, and it's just sickening.

If you think the Americans wouldn't be so irresponsible as to fly dangerously close to a spy plane, let's recall the USAF fighter that clipped the Italian gondola at the ski resort killing civilians. Or the USAF fighter that recently accidentally dropped a bomb on US and Kuwaiti inspectors. Or the sub that surfaced on a Japenese fishing boat.

Now Congress is talking about sanctions against China?

Game 3, in Edmonton

I finally get to watch a full Oilers game, tonight. I haven't seen one in about a month. Ugh.
