Mom and Dad are not impressed
I got an email from my mom at 1:15 PM:
Subject: who is Dave Winer?
"Is this the guy that you were going to work for at one time - or did work for and it did not work out ?? The name seems vaguely familiar ... and does he know that I do NOT appreciate him calling MY son a loser ... does he ... well obviously not !! lol Anyway refresh my memory if you have a moment to spare !"
Then my dad called me at 1:25 PM:
ROTFL!!! I love my Mom and Dad.:-)
Love Letter from the CEO
I got a love-letter from Dave Winer!
Wow, "have a great life". He's such a nice guy.
Now you see it now your don’t!
Today's Scripting News explains why the final candidate stage of RU's pre-final testing went by so quickly. Radio 7.0 is free but Radio 7.0.1 won't be, or at least, there'll be a not-free version of 7.0.1... it's not clear if there will be a free 7.0.1 or not.
The "people who are using free versions of Frontier on Mac OS from 1998 or earlier" that UserLand is "welcoming back" should be used to this phenomenon.

This was recommended by a member of the SOAP list as a good place to start. So was SOAPWARE.ORG and ASP Free's SOAP section.
WSDL and UDDI on the SOAP list
Just in case you're not following the Developmentor SOAP list (have I mentioned recently that it totally rocks?), here's a couple cool messages to read.
Not having read the UDDI spec (sigh), I didn't know what a tModel was either. Bill Conroy does a great job explaining it and he got me really excited about it (UDDI) as well.
If that confused you (it did me!), read this one:
I think WSDL and UDDI are very good things. I'm glad Dave Winer is on that list asking the right questions.
Another good message:

New Origami Trick: Turn Paper Into a Functional Phone
Well that's a relief! It's too bad it reenforces the habits that are destroying the planet. That said, a paper phone is immensely cool. I'd rather carry one of those around than the bulky cell phone I use now.
