Opera 4.0

This sentence is being posted from Opera 4.0. So far, I hate it. What kind of stupid browser imposes a MDI* on the user?

Ooh, I just found a nice thing -- user stylesheets. That, i like. Hmm, it does e-mail and news too.

But MDI? Argh!

I have two monitors on this computer, and I have a virtual desktop utility that gives me effectively 12 desktops, each at 1280x1024 resolution. Why would I want all of my browser windows STUCK in one of those 12 desktops?

Please tell me I can turn off MDI somehow.

* MDI = Multiple Document Interface, AKA -- all the document windows are being held hostage by the application's window.

NHL wins its case against Senators’ Yashin

CNNSI.com NHL wins its case against Senators' Yashin -- Alexei Yashin tried to get out of the last year of his contract by sitting out all of last season. He wanted his contract renegotiated, didn't feel $3.6M USD was enough money to make in 1 year. An arbitrator has ruled he will not be a free agent this summer, and still owes the Sens another year of work. DUH!

That's a small step for fans, a giant leap for fankind!

Now, I hope the Senators make that greedy fucker sit ANOTHER season under suspension.

ACDSee for Mac

According to MacNN, ACDSee for Mac is now available. ACD is a local Victoria shop, so I have this strange urge to buy a copy, even though I don't think I have a reason to use it, not being a graphics person.

DynamicJava

Right now I'm very interested in embeddable script interpreters for Java. Now, I really can't wait for WebObjects 5 to come out. (WO5 will be pure Java and support Java2)

Once I can use a Java2 VM, I'll be all over DynamicJava.
