Is Microsoft.NET contempt of court?

Is Microsoft.NET contempt of court? -- "Microsoft very deliberately chose to announce a series of actions with its .NET plans that would have the effect of making it more difficult to separate the operating system and application companies if Judge Jackson's Final Judgement is upheld on appeal."

It's business at usual at Microsoft (nobody expected otherwise). They truly do NOT believe there is any chance they will lose on appeals.

QOTD

On June 27th, 2000, this entry originally quoted a person saying something on the XP list. On March 26, 2001, the originator of that quote emailed me and told me I didn't have permission to quote him, so I will remove his quote and instead point to the message in the archive.

If he doesn't want people, and eGroups/Yahoo!Groups to quote him he shouldn't have posted to the list in the first place (DUH!).

New PowerSchool Enterprise a ‘killer app’

I was reading this article, New PowerSchool Enterprise a 'killer app', and came across the quote: ""It's entirely browser based, is build on modern technologies, and is scalable. It can manage a school district, a region even an entire state."

How many times have we heard that? Yeah right.

Then, a couple paragraphs down: "Apple's WebObjects -- the number one application platform for building Web server applications for the Web -- provides the programming basis for PowerSchool's Enterprise application, giving it its scalability and reliability."

Why am I so cynical and un-trusting? I should have known... ;-)

BXXP

NetworkWorldFusion News: 'HTTP on steroids' to ease protocol work

/.: Will BXXP Replace HTTP?.

I don't know, can you imagine typing bxxp://jim.roepcke.com/ in your browser? It just doesn't seem right. Not that I couldn't get used to it, but it's the tradition of it all! ;-)

I haven't read the BXXP specification yet. Maybe that's not even an issue.
