Articles: Microsoft Releases C# Language Reference
This post on /. suggests that MS might be looking into Objective-C. My guess is this is just trolling, and if not, just plain bullshit, but hey one can dream right?
Duncan’s my hero!
Duncan Smeed is my hero! His Free-Conversant weblog bookmarklet (sort of a local Manila Express in a bookmark) has made the effort needed to post here basically nil. That, coupled with me ceasing the use of daily pictures, has really helped.
Yahoo drops Inktomi for Google search technology
NEWS.COM: Yahoo drops Inktomi for Google search technology -- " Yahoo's decision to drop Inktomi marks a significant coup for Google."
Rock on Google! My favourite search engine.
Netscape
Late last week I dropped IE5 and went back to Netscape 4.7. There have been advantages and disadvantages, but overall I'm glad I did it.
I can't wait to start using Mozilla full time. First thing I'd do is install a skin that makes it look like Netscape 4... sorry skinners.
Microsoft aims at Sun
Microsoft aims at Sun' s Java with standards push -- "Microsoft today will announce it is submitting a new Java-like software programming language to an industry standards group, hoping to succeed where rival and Java creator Sun Microsystems has failed."
Good for Microsoft. Honestly.
Sun deserves this headache. Now I hope Sun gets its head out of its ASS and does the same.
Frontier: Frontier 6.2
Change notes for Frontier 6.2.
There was a LOT of work done between 6.1 and 6.2. UserLand's piecemeal updates system obscures that, but if you roll up all the new features and changes since the last full release, it definitely piles up.
Unfortunately I've not had time to do much with Frontier lately, but once the Carbon version is available I'll be all over it.
I want to see if it can be integrated at all with WebObjects, and if so, in what capacity. Both speak XML and HTTP, so there are definitely opportunities.
