About the Travel button's "Favourites Browser"

Terminology for the Favourites browser

This green dot means a weblog has been updated in the last 3 days.

This yellow dot means a weblog has been updated between the last 3 and 7 days.

This red dot means a weblog has not been updated in more than 7 days.

If a weblog's name appears in bold text that means that that weblog's favourites list includes the weblog whose page you are currently looking at. ie: a mutual favourites relationship.

Click the blue triangle to see that site's profile, favourite sites, and readers.

Where does the data come from? (AKA: Why isn't my site listed?)

The data comes from the weblogs.com XML flow. Thanks weblogs.com!

To get your weblog listed, you need to become a member of weblogs.com. To do that, go to their Join Now page. On that page you can enter the Name, Description, and URL of your weblog.

Once you're signed up, go to the weblogs.com home page. Check the boxes next to the names of the weblogs you read (your favourite weblogs). Then click on the blue "favorites" button.

If you're still confused, check out weblogs.com's How the checkboxes work page.

If you want to edit your favourites list manually (to take a site off, or add a site that doesn't appear on the weblogs.com home page, for example) go to http://www.weblogs.com/prefs and edit the text in the "Favorite Weblogs" box. Each weblog name should be separated by a comma and a space.

For example:

Backup Brain, Blogthis.com, BrainLog

You have to spell the name of the each site exactly the way it is registed with weblogs.com (which is the spelling used by the favourites browser, mega-readers and fan-favourites pages, or that item will be invalid.
