Oh Canada, A Cherry Bomb (washingtonpost.com): "While politicians here love to trumpet Canada's tolerance and cultural diversity, Cherry rants against Europeans and Quebec separatists, feminists and men who aren't manly. As a defender of all things Canadian, he remains refreshingly immune to the national inferiority complex."

National inferiority complex? I got two words for ya... Manifest Destiny.

shhhh...

Even though I'm a UserLand Support Associate, I didn't hear about this before anyone else. Nor did I seen any of the other new features to hit Frontier since the middle of January prior to their release. I'm not complaining, (why would I, just look at all the new features!) just stating a fact.

I was totally pysched about the "Waveport USB-to-Wireless LAN Adapter" from Inside Out Networks... until I found out it was going to cost $399. (I assume that's US$) I'm sure I can get an IEEE 802.11 PC-Card adaptor for less. Still, for pre-Airport iMacs, and B&W G3s, as well as all USB equipped PCs, this adaptor is just wonderful!

John Foster: Let's talk about [Mac OS] X: "Right. It's only 2 weeks old. What should I expect? Well I expected more. Actually a lot more. As OS X Server has been out for a year. You'd have thought that dev guys would be busy beavers. Nah. Not at all." -- This quote is definitely out of context, so let me add some. There are NO native web browsers for Mac OS X yet. Not IE, not Netscape, not Mozilla, not Opera, nada.

New QTVR pano... a provincial park near Shawnigan lake on Vancouver Island. Alex and I are on a bridge over a fairly loud, white-water creek. The quality of this VR isn't too great, as it was a little overcast and late in the day. Still, not too bad for a really small digital camera!
