I did it, and I still don't know what to think of it. I bought a starter set of golf clubs yesterday! I never imagined I'd ever become a golfer. But, it looks like I might be... well, a really crappy one at this point, but still...

Thing is, I blew out my right knee a few years ago, and ever since, I have not been able to do much of anything athletic that I did previously. If I had been a pro-athlete, with access to medical technology us commoners can't get, my knee would have been fixed in no-time. But alas, I can't play tennis anymore, or squash, roller-hockey, or soccer, or much of anything. If I do, I'm seriously risking dislocating (popping) my knee.... that is NOT a pretty sight, and it hurts like you wouldn't believe.

So, now I'm playing golf, one of few outdoors sports I can safely partake in. And everyone keeps telling me that walking is good for me, so hey, I'll be doing LOTS of that, the way I play!!

Cycling is another activity I can do, but my inactivity since my accident has left me in such bad shape that I can never get very far from home on my bike. I just wish golf wasn't so expensive... I'd get a lot of exercise if it wasn't.
