I don't think the cube is expensive, at least not in marketing terms. I paid nearly $1500 for a rev B iMac when it came out. I guess a lot of first round iMac customerswant a new computer now, but it feels daft to buy another iMac. Apple probably expects people like me to be rich now. I'd sure get a cube and a the nice 17' flat display (another reason why I'd not buy another iMac). I see the cube as the successor to the iMac, same flaws as back then, same appeal.
