I used Word 2008 to write the term paper I just finished yesterday. The citation feature was pretty good, but I don't think the formatting of the bibliography was right up to proper standards. I wasn't sure so I went with pretty much what Word generated.

This appeals to me greatly. I've spent a lot of time in Excel, I think spreadsheets are a woefully underappreciated programming paradigm. Resolver One combines spreadsheets with a great programming language (Python). But is it Windows-only?
