Sid - OS X Weblog Client for Conversant

Steve Ivy has created a native Mac OS X client for Conversant called Sid. Version 0.2 can post messages to conversations and optionally post them to a weblog page.

This message was posted using Sid. Way to go Steve!

Overnight Illustrator

Would you like to be an Illustrator, live 2 blocks from my parents in Victoria (just a coincidence), and do art for Children's books?

What if it paid $8-$10/hr and you couldn't smoke or use scented products? And what if you had to work overnight to stop your employer from sleepwalking?

If that sounds like a job for you, by all means, APPLY NOW!

(This is not a joke. Or, at least, it is posted to an official job board on the Canadian HRDC site, so it's as official as an $8/hr overnight illustrator job for an asthmatic sleepwalking employer can get)

SourceForge: Project Info - wotonomy

SourceForge: Project Info - wotonomy

wotonomy (cleanroom WO clone in Java) continues to improve. I'm super-impressed that this project has continued to evolve.

There's even real documentation.

XMLRPC-J now BSD OSS

On May 20th, Brian Manley announced a commercial XML-RPC stack for Java called XMLRPC-J.

Yesterday, Brian Manley announced that XMLRPC-J has been rereleased under a BSD-style license!

There are quite a few XML-RPC stacks for Java now.

OmniWeb licensed

I purchased a license for OmniWeb 4.0 for Mac OS X today. If you're using it daily like I am, please think about licensing your copy as well.

OmniWeb won two Apple Design Awards and WWDC last week. WTG Omni!

Cold

I got a cold/flu on Wednesday, it wasn't bad until midway on Thursday. I wonder how I caught it... going on the bus to/from work everyday, or going to WWDC Tuesday evening and Wednesday.

Thankfully the headache and muscle aching is gone now, but I'm still very congested. I've been sick 2 or 3 times since moving to SF. Jean suggests it's the stress of moving, so many changes in my life. It could be the public transportation too. I want the colds to go AWAY!

Maple Syrup

My friend Peter stayed the night last night, he left this afternoon to return to Canada after his week in San Jose for WWDC.

He brought us some authentic Canadian Maple Syrup. Oh man, that was sooo appreciated, a couple of weeks ago we ran out of the syrup my parents brought back from Halifax last year.

We had waffles for breakfast. :-)

Living in a van...

Just finished watching SNL remembers Chris Farley. I was pissin' myself laughing. I miss Chris.

Update: I didn't reallllly piss myself. That was hyperbole. ;-)
