    Newspapers endorsing political candidates is nothing new, although I agree that it seems a bit unethical. To be fair, the announcement was on the Editorial page.

    What struck me as odd was their endorsement of Bush, in light of the projection that Gore should easily carry Illinois. I've since heard that the Sun-Times has also officially endorsed Bush, although I haven't found a link.
